John Navratil Public Member
John works as a mechanical specialist with Agrium in Fort Saskatchewan and has inter-provincial qualifications as both a machinist and millwright. In addition, he serves as Alberta Director for the Canadian Machinery Vibration Association and Public Relations Director for the Alberta section of the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers. His long career in the chemical industry includes positions with Sherritt, Esso Chemical and Viridian. Since 1973, John and his wife have lived on a small farm just east of Fort Saskatchewan. Their three grown children all live in Alberta. John’s leisure time is spent participating in a variety of outdoor sports, church activities, travel and reading. John joined the Fort Air Partnership in hopes of better understanding how we monitor our air quality and to represent residents in the Scotford/Astotin area where new plants are being built and existing plants are expanding.
