Since its inception in 1997, the Fort Air Partnership has worked in collaboration with many other organizations to provide accurate, reliable and credible information to the community to address their concerns about air quality, which continues to be the number one environmental issue in the region. We saw an opportunity to significantly enhance public awareness and understanding by providing the resources required to integrate teaching and learning about air quality into the approved Alberta junior high school curriculum.
The purpose of this section of the Fort Air Partnership Web site is to complement the print and audio-visual materials in the Air - Our Invisible Connection teachers’ resource kits. This Web site should provide junior high school teachers, students and their parents across the province with the information and materials they need to teach and learn about air quality in Alberta.
The Fort Air Partnership gratefully acknowledges the funding received from:
- Dow Canada for the Teacher’s guide, poster and video, and
- Alberta Environment for this education portion of the Fort Air Partnership web site.
We also wish to thank all the individuals whose efforts, enthusiasm and dedication made the Air - Our Invisible Connection resources possible:
